No, institutions were required to provide their delegate's names to facilitate check-in. The name (name of purchaser) on the tickets is not important for check-in. Delegates' names will be on a list and checked in using a list as they arrive.
Delegates are expected to wear business casual attire during conference activities such as workshops, keynotes, networking sessions and meals. Delegates are welcome to change into casual clothes for nightlife activities. For the gala, delegates will be expected to wear semi-formal or formal attire.
We will try to accommodate requests received after the July 25 12PM PDT Delegate Form deadline, but due to the time constraints before SUDS begins, we can’t guarantee it. If we are unable to accommodate, we will let you know and try to find a work around. Thanks for understanding.
Yes, we can provide meal alternatives for delegates who follow different diets, such as vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free or other. Please complete the Dietary Details section in the delegate form [link] (https://www.sudssummit.ca/delegate-form-2025)to specify your dietary needs.
The AMS Student Nest does not have allergen-free facilities. SUDS is committed to accommodating delegates with allergies - please complete the Dietary Details section in the Delegate Form [link].(https://www.sudssummit.ca/delegate-form-2025) While we do not have allergen-free facilities and cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment – there is always a risk of cross-contact, especially at self-serve stations – we work to minimize the risk of exposure, encourage self-responsibility, strive to provide the most up-to-date information and plan an effective response to possible emergencies.
Delegates will stay at Totem Park, a premier residence on UBC's picturesque Vancouver campus. Same-gender delegates will reside in a semi-private two-bedroom unit.(https://vancouver.housing.ubc.ca/rooms/connected-single-room/) Each private bedroom is furnished with a single bed, and same-gender delegates will share a washroom with the adjoining room.
Multi-level floor lounges are available and feature seating areas, a television, a fridge, a sink, and a microwave, facilitating relaxation and informal meetings.
Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is provided throughout the residence, ensuring that delegates can stay connected.

Yes, private suites/studios are available. They are reserved for those who require their own space. If you need your own suite, please email vpexternal@ams.ubc.ca. You will have to purchase the Admission + Private Accommodation ticket option.

The registration price includes accommodation, food, transportation to and from excursions, the annual SUDS gala, and access to our amazing presentations/workshops!

No, we are unable to provide accommodation through SUDS for those wishing to arrive early or stay past the end of the conference. If you want to elongate your stay in Vancouver or are planning on arriving early, please plan accordingly by booking accommodation on your own terms.
